About Suhar Airport
Suhar Airport, about 13 Km northwest of Suhar, will provide an alternative route and quicker one for travelers wishing to arrive at Suhar and the north of Oman. The airport will serve as a new gateway for cargo and courier traffic in Northern Oman and, in the future, will ease congestion in Sultan Qaboos Port in Muscat. In addition, Suhar Airport will serve as an emergency alternative to Muscat Airport for passengers and cargo coming into the Sultanate.
The airport is being built close to the major commercial, industrial, and economic centers of Suhar, including the Port of Suhar special economic zone. It will complement the future plans for establishing a major highway and railway network, which will underpin the city's eventual transformation into a major industrial and economic hub on Al-Batinah coast.
Airport Location:
13 Km North-west of Suhar City Centre.
Way to the Airport:
Muscat-Suhar:
- Take the roundabout of Falaj Al- Qabail and then enter the service road to the left. Continue straight before turning right after Suhar Airport sign. Go straight to the first roundabout and take a left at the second roundabout.
- Turn left at Falaj Al-Qabail roundabout and then enter the bridge after Crown Plaza Hotel. Continue straight and then take a left at the first roundabout, straight in the second roundabout and before turning right at the third one.
Shinas-Suhar:
- Go straight to Falaj Al- Qabail roundabout and then enter the service road to the left. Continue straight and then take right after Suhar Airport Sign. Go straight to the first roundabout and then left in the second roundabout.
- Take a right in Falaj Al-Qabail roundabout and then enter the bridge after Crown Plaza Hotel. Continue straight and then left at the first roundabout, straight to the second roundabout and take a right at the third one.
Al-Buraymi-Suhar:
- Take right at Falaj Al-Qabail roundabout and then enter the service road to the left. Continue straight and then take right after Suhar Airport sign. Go straight at the first roundabout and take left at the second roundabout.
- Take a right to enter the bridge before Crown Plaza Hotel. Continue straight and go take left at the first roundabout before going right at the second roundabout.
